What should I have ready when I call?

- Your move-in date, or the date the landlord wants coverage to begin.
- The liability limit written in the lease, if there is one.
- The name and email of the property manager who needs the proof.
- A rough total for your belongings. Walking room to room with your phone camera is the quickest way to get one.
- Anything costly enough to need its own line, such as jewelry or a bicycle.

Are earthquake and flood included in a renters policy?
Generally, no. Both are usually excluded from a renters policy and bought separately. If either one worries you, say so at the start and we will quote it next to the renters policy, so you see them side by side.
